Aikido: Introduction to Japanese Martial Art
New Course
Aikido is not only a practical art for self-defense, but a philosophically satisfying art to last a lifetime. Learn the basic techniques for receiving and countering attacks, the circular movements of Aikido, and how to fall without injury. Class includes demonstration of techniques followed by practice. Fundamentals of Aikido training will be provided, so students can make an informed decision on whether to continue further study. Please wear loose comfortable clothing or a white gi, the traditional martial arts practice uniform (option to purchase on the first evening for $35)

Boot Camp for Beginners
New Daytime Course Thinking about trying an exercise program? Wishing there was something you could do without joining a gym? Looking for a group of people who are starting at square one, just like you? Then this is your Boot Camp. Taught by Leah Dillon, top trainer at Cornerstone Health and Fitness, New Hope, this 5-week fitness program is designed to get you moving, no matter what your size, shape, or fitness level. Specifically geared toward first-time boot campers – novice exercisers, overweight exercisers, reluctant exercisers, and plain old couch potatoes – this program will combine cardio, strength, and core training to help you burn calories, reduce body fat and increase your fitness. Tai Chi (Taijiquan)
Tai Chi is the dynamic Chinese exercise that promotes radiant health and mental well-being. Martial arts principles and Taoist philosophy grace the movements of this fluid meditative art, bestowing practitioners with increased strength and a confident presence. Students learn to become more centered, rooted, and aligned while improving concentration and agility. Yoga (Restorative)
Daytime Course
Yogic breathing and gentle poses to allow the release tensions of the body and mind. Poses are held long and comfortably supported by blankets and other props, to allow safe release. Good for those getting back into shape, or with a condition, recovering from illness or surgery, or just wanting to relax and move slowly. You’ll feel like you’ve had a workout, a massage, and a nap!

Recreational Tennis Coach Workshop
One-Day Course Join fellow tennis enthusiasts for a fun interactive workshop conducted by a USTA clinician. Topics include the games-based teaching approach, QuickStart tennis format, teaching large groups, running effective team practices, and the top-ten games every coach should know. The workshop is designed for parents seeking the basics in coaching and organizing team tennis, Park & Recreation instructors, high school and seasonal coaches, coaches teaching beginners and adults, and tennis players seeking part-time teaching jobs. QuickStart Workshop
New One Day Course The sport of tennis has changed as QuickStart Tennis for players aged 10-and-under is sweeping the country! Don’t miss out on the forward-thinking trend! The USTA QuickStart Tennis Workshop is a hands-on three-hour clinic geared toward teaching 10-and-under tennis players utilizing simple methods, drills, and activities to enable kids to start playing tennis right away! Workshop includes extensive coverage of the QuickStart Tennis play format, including age-appropriate play situations and games for 5–6, 7–8 and 9–10 year olds, and includes practice plans and play manual.
