The Community School of New Hope-Solebury offers continuing education through creative, physical and intellectual opportunities in partnership with Bucks County Community College and the New Hope-Solebury School District.
Since 1978 the Community School has been providing thousands of lifelong learners with the opportunity to explore their creative sides, to expand their intellectual capacity, to improve their physical capacity and to just have fun.
Many courses offer CEU's and/or Act 48 Credits
The Community School is financially self supporting. All of our funds come from course tuition, our own fund raising efforts and the generous contributions of some donors. If you have the ability we would very much appreciate your contribution; we are a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Each year The Community School provides a scholarship award (typically $1,000) to a graduating senior from the New Hope Solebury High School based on the application of our objective criteria during a personal evaluation and interview process that the High School arranges for our Award Committee.
Our all volunteer Board is the backbone of our organization, members come from very different backgrounds and bring a wealth of varied experience. Our Director of Continuing Education (Nancy Lawson) is the heart of our organization; she is responsible for getting all the instructors & courses coordinated with times and locations, etc and etc. She is a part time employee.
If you have any interest in adding your skill set to our team please contact us; use the "Feedback Form" or call Nancy at 215-497-8735 or email her at lawsonn@bucks.edu. We typically meet once a month at the New Hope Solebury High School.
