2011 Community School Scholarship Award goes to MaryClare Cosner

Our Scholarship Award Committee actually enjoys the difficult task of applying our seven criteria to all of the many applicants, to interview the finalists and to arrive at one who in their opinion best satifies the criteria; it is a task made difficult only by virtue of the high quality of the many applicants. MaryClare Cosner excels as a scholar, an athlete and a humanitarian. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh Nursing School to begin an arduous nine (9) year progam to become a MedEvac Nurse - a long held aspiration. Our Award Committee is comprised of Larry Weikel (Chairman), Earlene Austin & Ralph Prosceno (see photo) Our Award is named for Ellen Anthonisen (see photo) who was a long term President and major driving force of the Community School. We sincerely thank all of the administration & staff of the NHSSD & the NHSHS for their ongoing help in our school's efforts and thank Dr. Raymond Boccuti (Superintendent) and Dr. Stephen Young (HS Principal) for their participation (see photo).
